2026 Summer Staff Positions
The Town of Altona hires for a variety of positions for the summer season. Below are the categories and requirements for each.
Outdoor Maintenance (Green Team)
These positions have been filled for the 2026 season. Check back for the 2027 season in January 2027. See below for other available positions.
Altona Aquatic Centre
The Town of Altona is hiring for 20-24 lifeguards/lifeguard supervisors/swim instructors, as well as 4-5 ticket clerks for the 2026 season.
To be eligible for these positions, candidates must:
- Be legally eligible to work in Canada
- Have valid lifeguarding & swim instruction certifications (not required for ticket clerks)
- Provide a criminal record check at time of hiring
- Be available to work during the Altona Aquatic Centre season (June, July, August)

Gallery in the Park
The Town of Altona is hiring for a few Gallery in the Park attendants for the 2026 season.
To be eligible for these positions, candidates must:
- Be legally eligible to work in Canada
- Provide a criminal record check at time of hiring
- Be available to work during the Gallery in the Park season
