Summer Activities
During the Spring and Summer season at the nature park come out and enjoy the trails, and the beautiful surroundings. Enjoy a day of cycling or walking along an 8-foot wide asphalt trail. The trail reaches Altona from the south via the rail line trail to Gretna and from the west at the Buffalo Creek Nature Park. This trail is part of the longest multi-use trail in the world – The Trans Canada Trail.
Winter Activities
This is a popular spot for tobogganing in winter as well as pleasure skating on the pond, which is cleared and flooded. The field house makes an ideal warm up spot for changing, restrooms or a hot cup of hot chocolate.
