Comprehensive education from kindergarten to grade 12 is available in Altona’s four schools:
These schools are all within the Border Land School Division. Altona schools offer up-to-date teaching methods with state-of-the-art technology, taking your child from the basic three “R’s” to vocational and university preparation. Our educators are well-chosen and dedicated, and have a passion for teaching. Border Land School Division prioritizes integrity, collaboration, quality instruction and creativity.
The Regional Alternative Education Centre offers a place for mature students of all ages to continue their education. It offers accredited high school courses for those with the goal to complete Grade 12 or who want to upgrade their skills for re-entry into the job market.
For post-secondary education, Red River College, the University of Manitoba, and the University of Winnipeg all provide courses to students while allowing them to remain in their home communities. Distance education allows students the flexibility and opportunity to complete post-secondary courses on their terms.
