To help reduce mosquito populations and improve public comfort, mosquito control fogging will be taking place at Altona Centennial Park, The Gallery in the Park, and the MEC grounds on July 21st, 2026 between 9:00 P.M. and 3:00 A.M., weather permitting.
The treatment will be conducted by trained personnel using an approved mosquito control product in accordance with all applicable regulations and label directions.
For your comfort and to minimize exposure, the public is encouraged to:
- Avoid the park while fogging is in progress and for approximately 4 to 6 hours afterward, or until the fog has dispersed.
- Keep children and pets away from the treatment area during this time.
- Close nearby windows if you live adjacent to the park and are concerned about the fog.
If weather conditions are unsuitable, the application may be rescheduled.
We appreciate your cooperation as we work to reduce mosquito populations and help make our parks more enjoyable for everyone.
