Represents the residents of Altona in the following committees and boards:

  • Shared Services Committee 
  • Airport Commission

Harv Schroeder became Mayor of Altona in 2022, following his 2018-2022 term as a Town Councillor. Harv moved to Altona after graduating from WC Miller Collegiate. His first job was at OTC, which is currently called Blue Sky Opportunities.   A job opening for Public Works with the Town became available, and it was his career for the next 30 years. He is currently working on the family farm where he grew up, in Sommerfeld.  Harv has always enjoyed working for the public and living in Altona, and felt that he wanted to give back to the citizens of the town of Altona.  The Town of Altona has given him opportunities to raise his family here, play sports, coach Girls hockey, softball, Special Olympics, and be involved with the YFC board. He will work with Council to continue to move the community forward.
