Winter Carnival 2020 

  • All You Can Eat Pancake Breakfast
    • 8:00 – 10:30 am at the Rhineland Pioneer Centre. Pay by donation to the Manitoba Sunflower Festival Queen Pageant
  • Cardboard Toboggan Races
    • 10:30 am at the Buffalo Creek Nature Park. Prizes for fastest, most creative and longest run. Sponsored by the Town of Altona.
  • FREE Hot Chocolate and Marshmallows
    • 10:30 am – noon at the Buffalo Creek Nature Park. Sponsored by Altona IGA.
  • Candy Scramble
    • 11:00 am at the Buffalo Creek Nature Park. Sponsored by The Red Apple
  • Soup and Pie Lunch
    • 11:30 am – 1:30 pm at the Rhineland Pioneer Centre. Pay by donation to the Altona Health Care Auxiliary
  • Children’s Entertainer – Ken Sky
    • 1:00 – 2:00 pm at the Altona Curling Club. Sponsored by the Town of Altona
  • Team Canada (Team Zacharias) Meet and Greet
    • 1:30 – 2:30 pm at the Millennium Exhibition Centre. Wish our National Jr. Women’s Curling Champions well as they prepare to represent Canada at the World Curling Championships in Russia. Sponsored by the Altona Curling Club
  • Winnipeg Blue Bombers – Manitoba Grey Cup Tour
    • 2:30 – 4:30 pm at the Rhineland Pioneer Centre. Come see the Winnipeg Blue Bombers players, and mascots Buzz and Boomer, and get your picture with the Grey Cup! Presented by Princess Auto
  • Community Dinner – Authentic Mexican Buffet
    • 5:30 – 7:30 pm at the Rhineland Pioneer Centre.  Catered by “Flavours of Mexico” and live Latin music by Rafael Talavera of Cabu band. Cost: Adults $15.00, Kids 10 & Under $8.00, Kids 2 & under = Free. Proceeds to the Manitoba Sunflower Festival
  • Fun Hockey with the Altona Maroons
    • 7:15 – 8:15 pm at the Sunflower Gardens Arena

Altona holds an annual Winter Carnival. Join us for a day filled with family fun, activities and entertainment for all ages held every year in late January/early February.
