Every person or company that engages in business or provides a service in Altona requires a Town of Altona business licence. This includes businesses located in other communities that operate within the Town of Altona limits.
The only exceptions to this requirement are those businesses operating out of a commercial space (either owned or rented) that receive an annual business assessment and business tax statement from the Town.
In order to apply for a Town business licence you will need to fill out a registration form and remit the appropriate fee. This registration form is available in person, by mail, or online. The following information is required:
- Common and legal name of business
- Street and mailing address of the business
- Business, cellular and fax numbers
- Type of business
- Applicant’s signature
- Name of owner or corporate
